I may drive home tonight and be involved in a vehicle accident!
I may be left in a wheel chair!
and that will be the end of that!
Well that could very well happen. None of this is in our control!
Have you heard of Arrhythmia?
Did you know that caffeine, nicotine and other stimulants can cause your heart to beat faster and may contribute to the development of more-serious arrhythmias?
Do you drink a lot of coffee?
Are you a heavy smoker?
What about diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract?
Have you ever experienced hiatal hernia, gastritis, ulcers, gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus, and mouth, esophageal, gastric and small intestinal cancers?
Do you take omeprazole (Prilosec) or esomeprazole (Nexium) or Topzole?
The most common adverse effects of Nexium are:
• diarrhoea, nausea, and flatulence.
• decreased appetite.
• dry mouth or an unusual taste in the mouth.
• abdominal pain.
Ever had these side effects?
What about the endocrine system?
Ever heard of Hypothalamic/pituitary axis disease?
If you Google, you will see that one is called idiopathic, meaning of unknown cause?
How about Vestibular disequilibrium?
Can be caused by head injury, aging, and viral infection.
Again, out of one’s control.
So, the next time you think “it will never happen to me”; ask yourself are you a smoker, coffee drinker, suffer from reflux, getting older or able to catch a virus?
Before declining a Disability Cover or Impairment Cover think about these facts.
